playground games

newfoundland is being hit with a major snowstorm today and spring is seeming far off.
what games do children play in the spring now? for us - growing up in the 50's and 60's, spring meant skippng ropes and marbles. that was the inspiration this skein of yarn.

Gosh, I miss skipping! It was my favourite summertime fun. I also loved hopscotch and jacks.

Oh, the memories of our childhood. I, too, loved skipping, hopscotch and a game called "cat and the kitten" using sticks..the little things that amused us are amazing..children today don't know what they are missing..

For me... spring means seedlings and the scent of soil.

Do you remember 'Elastic Skipping'?
