seraphine

when i moved to newfoundland in 1975 (from toronto) what i missed almost most of all were independent and foreign films. all that came to corner brook was the most popular american films. even when video stores opened up, the pickings were slim. but now i have "netflix" and it's movie heaven. lately i've been watching french films while i spin. i loved "seraphine" (enough to be inspired to make a skein in her honour).

Shawn: I adore French films and thank you so very much for this recommendation. Actually, I have been meaning to tell you how much I love all your recommendations...many times I order books you have written about (like the one about Van Gogh) because they're subjects I, too, am very interested in. I want to thank you for donating to the L'Arche Calgary Knit-a-thon. I am the lucky winner of 'St John's Row Houses' handspun. :) Now I am having fun deciding what to make with this beautiful yarn. Thank you!
