although today promises to be warm, we haven't had much summer weather so far. lately there has been alot of strong wind and heavy rain. at the cabin in dark cove the beach is strewn with kelp. the air heavy with the smell of the sea. at the steps of our cabin, where we normally have sand and little bits of rock jutting out, this past week there was only rock with the sand piled up down the beach.
