capelin weather

today is wet and cool. often in western newfoundland, we don't get good summer weather until after the middle of june. after the "capelin run" when millions of tiny capelin land on the beaches to spawn. and when the tide goes out, the beaches are slick with capelin eggs. i finished this mat yesterday to submit for to the newfoundland and labrador craft council's annual member's show opening june 26th at devon house in st. john's.

Hi Shawn,
What a beautiful piece and story ... it makes me of catching capelin when I was growing up.
I am glad that you had a good day for the market and so glad to hear from you!
