because we had such a mild winter with so little snow, we all thought that spring would be early. but april weather has been cool and the garden - the crocus, the budding daffodils and tulips - are all coming along at their normal times.
my tomatoes have all sprouted but not yet my peppers - they're under lights in the house and will be moved out into the greenhouse in about a month. and yesterday i planted a flat of lettuce that i'll try keeping in the greenhouse during the day and bring in at night while the nights are still so cold.
