settling

you need enormous amounts of energy to prepare for and carry out a show. especially if you're travelling. especially a show as big as the toronto one of a kind. for the past few days i've been feeling low. i've used up my energy. being a full-time crafts person (or artist, or musician etc.) requires that you get up with excitement and optimism every day. you need to be creative. you need to be excited about what you're doing. financially it's not an easy way to make a living and those financial concerns are always there. the rewards have to be that you love what you do.
i know i have to give myself time to regroup. to settle back in. to take long walks. to spring clean this poor neglected home. to get my seedlings started. to remember who i am, what i am, and what i love about it...

Take your time and be gentle with yourself.

Breathing in. Breathing out.

If we had real jobs, there'd be 'Mental Health days' for that sort of thing.

Poor neglected homes are signs of happy, fulfilled people- or at least that's what I keep telling myself!

Just keep swimming...

Shawn;
I'm just catching up on your posts. Thanks for the photos. They are beautiful. Hope you get to dig in the garden soon.
