painting with fleece

i wanted to make a skein of yarn using the colours found in this amazing coral-pink poppy. none of my fleece was the colour i needed. so i gathered together my pinks and oranges and even my cream fleece and carded them together in the right proportions to get just the colour i needed. and then for accents, to match the centre of the poppy, i chose bits of my heavily textured commercial novelty yarns - the deep almost balck purple, the soft lilac... i'm delighted with the results.
