on sunday my daughter and son-in-law flew to cuba for a week's vacation. they're staying in a hotel in the centre of havanna. it has a pool on the roof. they've never before travelled together and have never been without children (my grandson was 2 when they met) and they have another child now. they both work high-stress jobs. this vacation is such a good thing. to celebrate their holiday, i knit this scarf thinking of them. i call it havana. it holds the cuban light and heat.

An absolutely *gorgeous* scarf. And I love the story that goes with it - that sounds like a heavenly vacation for the two of them. How lovely! (And I'm heeding your advice, you wise woman you!)
