january 6th is old christmas day - traditionally the last day of christmas and the day that the decorations come down in newfoundland. i put them all away yesterday. the livingroom is missing the soft warmth and glow. and yesterday brenda and i went looking for winter (all the snow is now gone from town from the weekend's heavy rain) and found it at tipple's pond.
