was that it?

unlike the rest of north america, the west coast of newfoundland hasn't had a particularly hot summer. lots of rain. a few warm days. this morning i woke to a chill in the house (lots of windows open during the night). cool enough to warrant turning on the propane fire while i sit at the computer. which is fine because i have alot of dyed fleece and spun yarn that i'm trying to dry.
i still haven't worn all my summer clothes and wonder if it's already time to put them away. will it be hot enough again this year to wear a sundress? was that it?

I have exactly the same fireplace but mine uses natural gas!
Not cool enough to use it yet here in S Ontario though.

Emy called this morning to say it was blistering in Cape Ray so that's where I'm headed....

The weather in San Diego has been the 5th coolest on record...the 4th coolest having been in 1916. Daily temps have been in the mid 60s (F, don't know C, sorry) with cool breezes. Some locals have complained about lack of heat, but when I watch the national weather reports, I feel like I won the lottery this summer...it could be hot and humid here at this time of the year. Yay! However, like you...I'm sad to think that when I leave here I'll head right back to winter in NM...without ever having felt like it was summer.
