last week i was diagnosed with severe osteoporosis in my spine. when I asked my doctor about exercise he said "at this point, all you can do is walk." i have started bone building medication (a very hard decision for me). yesterday i bought some really good hiking boots with ankle support. i will walk at least an hour a day. with my camera and sketchpad and try to turn this into something positive. the photos i'm taking now are about how I see my spine. fragile and tangled.

Hi
I am so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I think you have the right attitude though. be positive and turn this into something that makes you discover more in yourself. I was diagnosed with a chronic disease 13 years ago and had to come to terms with it but I have to say from experience that I enjoy life a lot more and appreciate all of it. take care and keep on walking. hugs Joni
