this year, to save time. and to get better, faster results. i bought all my vegetable plants fromkim. they use no pesticides or chemical fertilizers and the plants are healthy and vigorous. the tomatoes were in full bloom when i bought them 2 weeks ago and i noticed yesterday the beginnings of a first tomato. we also have a pot of strawberries on the deck and picked our first (absolutely deliscious) one. the greenhouse in little rapids is also now selling bags of freshly cut lettuce (and spinach- although i think we just got the last bags) and will have bok choi and beans soon. wonderful to be getting fresh local food this early in the season.
